Wednesday's torrential rainfall in Kumasi did not pass without its mark on residents of the metropolis as the heavy downpour and its accompanying winds swept away lots of properties.

The rains which started around 16:45GMT when most workers had closed from work and returning home did not only disrupt the movement of workers and motorists alike but it caused colossal amount of damage to properties in some parts of the garden city.

Some billboards and advertising hoardings sitting along the Suame roundabout fell off due to the heavy winds and rain.

A section of roads leading to the central business district had become muddy and slippery making it difficult for vehicles to cross.

A frustrated passenger, Afful Williams who spoke to oseikromonline.com said some daring drivers asked their passengers to alight and managed to meander through the slippery road.
