It was a sad moment for relatives, friends and colleagues of the three Kumasi Academy students, as their mortal remains were conveyed to their respective hometowns for burial.

The three, Richard Agyemang,17,Benjamin Poku,18 and Samuel Kwabi-Dapaah,18 were all buried yesterday after battling a suspected case of meningitis.

Another student Prince Koduah,15, who died of the same ailment had been buried last week.

Oseikromonline's Jonathan Ofori reports that  school mates were inconsolable as they wept bitterly when the casket of Samuel Kwabi-Dapaah's casket was taken from the service grounds at the Methodist Church at Offinso-Ahenkro in the Ashanti region onto a waiting hearse to his final resting place.

He said, "even those who mustered courage and attempted not to weep eventually broke down emotionally and ended up weeping uncontrollably".

Friends, Staff and students of Kumasi Academy were at the service to commiserate with the bereaved family and gave their last respect to the former General Arts student.

At Asawasi in the Asokore-Mampong Municipality another burial service was observed for Benjiman Opoku, a Form Two General Arts student whose mortal remains had been conveyed for burial at Oyoko, his hometown.

Relatives and friends clad in black broke down in tears particularly his classmates who saw the lifeless body of their mates being whisked away.

A tribute from the Students' Representative Council (SRC) described her death as "shocking" and unbelievable".

Same service was also observed for Richard Agyeman at Kuntanase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.

In a related development, authorities of
