It looks the war between movies in the local dialect(Kumawood) and movies in English is not going to end anytime soon. Popular kumawood actor,  Papa Kumasi has added his voice to it.

 

In his interview on Enterchat with Fresh Boy Papa J. He said that the "supposed actors" in  movies in English dialect are all social media stars and that can't even be recognized by most of the people in the country(citing examples like Ekow Blankson, Ekow Smith). He continued that, their stardom do not earn them any role outside the movie.

 

He said that, real stardom are about actors and actresses who feature movies in local dialect. He stressed that, he was not in the country when the "supposed actors" were condemning   movies that are in the local dialect and that those comments bring their job into great disrepute.

 

Papa Kumasi has been outside the country(Holland and Germany) shooting the yet to be premiered TV series "chop box to chop box ".
