The Ahafo Ano South District Director, Mr Reuben Bedzrah  has appealed to the government, NGOs and the general public to come to the aid of the Mankranso District Hospital.

According to him, the health facility which has been operating for about two decades needs expansion to accommodate more patients.

Speaking at an annual performance review at Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region, Mr Bedzrah revealed that the hospital has served as a referral center for the people in the Ahafo area, particularly, accident victims on the Kumasi-Sunyani and Kumasi- Tepa trunk roads.

He expressed worry over the lack of space at the children’s ward, adding that, patients admitted at the hospital have to share beds to ease congestion.

He noted that health facilities at Pokukrom, Sabronum, Woiso and Mpasaaso are also facing similar challenges in the district. He also stated that communities like Kunsu and Aponaposo have new health facilities but lack equipments to start operation. He therefore called on all to support.
